Fear Factory – ‘The Industrialist’ Trailer
While nothing is “new” per se with their (obvious) choice of theme (the one they always do), this trailer for the upcoming Fear Factory album, The Industrialist, actually made me a bit excited for the new album… especially the ramp up double kick drums at the last 20 seconds…
The new album comes out June 5th, 2012, and it marks the 2nd album since vocalist Burton C. Bell & guitarist Dino Cazares patched up their differences. The new album also features Gene Hoglan on drums (the mega-monsterous drummer from Death, Testament, etc).

Fear Factory Redux
Stomp rock / industro-metallers Fear Factory have reformed with a slightly different but equally awesome lineup. Burton C. Bell (vocals) and Dino Cazares (guitars) have put ill-will behind them. They are joined by bassist Byron Stoud and insanely awesome drummer Gene Hoglan…
I first heard Gene on Death‘s Symbolic record. The man is insane. I saw him live with Testament on the Demonic tour… the Wednesday before Thanksgiving 199-something. My turkey and gravy were never so “ringing in my ears” before.
Expect twitchy-bleep thrashing, machine gun kick drums in your face, and lyrics about androids / robots taking over your mind (or your job)… sigh. Yeah, lyrically / archetypically, Burton’s in a rut. But I dig the music… Read more over at Blabbermouth‘s blog.
