MTA Music by Alexander Chen
This falls under a fun experiment in music… Alexander Chen turns the New York subway system into an interactive string instrument. Using the NYC Mass Transit Authority’s actual subway schedule, the piece begins in real-time by spawning trains which departed in the last minute, then continues accelerating through a 24 hour loop. The visuals are based on Massimo Vignelli’s 1972 diagram.

Join Oakshire Owners, City of Eugene neighborhoods, Union Pacific and Mayor Kitty Piercy and Trainsong Neighborhood association President Nicole Sharette as we work to plant 100 trees along Bethel Drive -that magical road that leads to Oakshire and all things beery!
The work party is from 9am – noon on Saturday November 20th and a post party lunch and pint will be at Oakshire following the event. Meet at the American Red Cross building at 9am.
