Megadeth’s American Carnage postponed
Official Press Release – 1/7/2010
AMERICAN CARNAGE TOUR FEATURING MEGADETH, SLAYER AND TESTAMENT POSTPONED MEGADETH TO ANNOUNCE HEADLINE TOUR FOR MARCH AND APRIL
New York, NY– The much anticipated American Carnage Tour, featuring hard rock behemoths Megadeth, Slayer and Testament has been postponed as Slayer’s bassist/vocalist Tom Araya is in need of back surgery.
While disappointed by the tour’s delay, Megadeth are concerned for Araya and wish him a speedy recovery.
Megadeth are currently scheduling a U.S. headline run for March and April, and are rescheduling the American Carnage tour for Summer ’10. Anyone who has purchased an American Carnage ticket can hold onto it until the new dates are announced. Please visit www.megadeth.com for the latest updates.
Boo… I was looking forward to it, but I guess I can hope it’ll get rescheduled on another day when I can go this summer, and hopefully I’ll still get a photo pass.

Megadeth, Slayer & Testament 2010!
I’m heading out on a short vacation; so no major blogs for the next few days… next concert is The Swell Season next Monday. For the time being, there’s a new tour hitting the road next winter… Megadeth, Slayer and special guests Testament! Holy cow!!! I’ve seen all three of these bands before, but it’s been a while – and I’ve never seen them at the same time. I’ll be at the Portland show, if ticket sales serve me well…
